IEC 61439 Panels

Hager Custom Engineered Panel

Hager components integrated into IEC 61439 custom engineered panel assemblies. Hager offers Univers N enclosure systems and h3+ moulded-case breakers for IEC 61439 commercial and building distribution panel assemblies.

Hager Custom Engineered Panel assemblies pair Hager's proven component portfolio — notably the Univers N enclosure system and h3+ moulded-case breakers (MCCBs) — with bespoke IEC 61439 design, verification and site-integration workflows for commercial, industrial and building-automation distribution. These panels are engineered to IEC 61439-1 general rules and can be configured as IEC 61439-2 distribution boards, IEC 61439-3 (distribution for industry/buildings) or integrated with IEC 61439-6 busbar trunking systems. Design options include Forms of Separation from Form 1 through Form 4b to meet segregation and serviceability needs, and busbar ratings commonly range from small modular busbars up to 4,000–6,300 A for heavy custom mains; feeder and modular circuits use DIN-rail MCBs/RCDs and h3+ frames for downstream protection. Protection and selectivity are achieved using Hager h3+ MCCBs, DIN‑rail MCBs/RCCBs and motor starters/contactors combined with engineered fuse+breaker coordination. Typical short-circuit withstand and breaking capacities are specified on a project basis; panels can be engineered for prospective short-circuit currents from 10 kA up to 100 kA or higher using coordinated h3+ frames, selective fusing and fault‑limiting techniques, in accordance with IEC 60947 series requirements for switchgear. Environmental and hazardous‑area ratings are supported: IP protection ranges from IP20 up to IP66 for washdown or outdoor enclosures, and ATEX/IEC 60079 mitigation packages are available for explosive atmospheres. Marine and corrosive‑environment treatment options (stainless steel, special coatings, marine grade cable glands and paints) are standard for shipboard and offshore installations. Functional integration includes built-in metering and communications (Hager energy meters, Modbus/KNX gateways), operator HMIs, local mimic panels and remote SCADA interfaces; Univers N enclosures provide modular space and cable entry planning to host HMI cutouts, power conversion (soft starters, VFDs) and transformer bays. Panels are factory-assembled and factory-tested per IEC 61439 verification routines — dielectric tests, temperature-rise verification, short-circuit withstand tests and verification of clearances/creepage distances — with routine and type-test documentation supplied. For projects requiring alternative topologies, engineers frequently benchmark against comparable product families such as Siemens SIVACON, ABB MNS and Schneider Prisma Set when defining mechanical layout, busbar ratings and fault‑level strategies. Patrion’s engineering team configures Hager-based custom engineered panels to meet project-specific In (rated current), Ue (rated voltage up to 1,000 V AC), IP rating and short-circuit performance, delivering documentation packages for contractors, EPCs and facility managers.
